APIGEE Developer/Conusltant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced APIGEE developer to lead the design, development, and management of APIs using Google APIGEE Edge or APIGEE X. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of hands-on experience in creating scalable, secure, and high-performance API solutions that support our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy APIs using APIGEE Edge / APIGEE X.
  • Implement API proxies, policies (security, traffic management, mediation, etc.), and custom scripts.
  • Collaborate with architects and backend teams to define API contracts and integration strategies.
  • Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and meet performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and availability issues.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for API deployments.
  • Maintain API documentation and version control.
  • Work with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in API development using APIGEE.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, and other API security standards.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
