Microsoft 365 Administrator Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to work as a skilled and proactive Microsoft 365 Administrator, responsible for managing and supporting our Microsoft 365 environment.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to administer and manage core Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and the Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with M365 services, and a solid understanding of governance, security, and user adoption best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage core Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and the Power Platform.
  • Configure and maintain SharePoint Online site collections, document libraries, lists, and user permissions.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management and governance of Microsoft Teams and M365 Groups.
  • Administer OneDrive policies for file sharing, synchronization, and retention.
  • Deploy and support solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support to resolve technical issues and respond to end-user inquiries.
  • Develop user guides, conduct training sessions, and create documentation to drive adoption.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and deliver M365-based solutions.
  • Implement and manage security, compliance, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
  • Manage permissions and access controls across the M365 suite.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts related to governance, compliance, and data breaches.
  • Monitor service health, usage, and analytics using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell.
  • Generate and present reports on platform performance, adoption, and compliance metrics.
  • Design and implement workflow automation using Power Automate and SharePoint workflows.
  • Support business process reengineering initiatives using low-code/no-code tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration, with expertise in SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and the Power Platform.
  • Deep understanding of the M365 ecosystem, architecture, and integration capabilities.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and automation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, retention policies, and data loss prevention practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
