Job Title: Senior Business Leader
About the Role:
Our organization seeks a highly experienced and visionary professional to lead our manufacturing business specializing in mechanical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement our company's long-term vision and growth roadmap.
- Lead Product Innovation: Drive product innovation, technology adoption, and R&D in mechanical engineering.
- Market Expansion: Identify and expand into new domestic and international markets.
Operational Excellence:
- Efficiency and Quality: Ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity in all manufacturing operations.
- Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 practices.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain compliance with industry, safety, and environmental standards.
Financial and Business Performance:
- Financial Management: Own and deliver the P&L, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability.
- New Revenue Streams: Develop new revenue streams and strengthen customer base.
People Leadership:
- Team Building: Build and lead a high-performing executive and management team.
- Culture Development: Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Workforce Planning: Lead workforce planning, skills development, and succession strategies.
Stakeholder and Market Engagement:
- Board Collaboration: Collaborate with our Board of Directors on strategic decision-making.
- Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with clients, partners, industry bodies, and regulators.
- Industry Representation: Represent us as an industry leader in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Leadership Experience: Proven success as a CEO, MD, or senior executive in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering lifecycle.
- Business Acumen: Expertise in business strategy, operations, and financial management.
- Scaling Experience: Demonstrated success in scaling businesses and entering new markets.
- Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Financial Metrics: Revenue growth (YoY %), EBITDA margin / profitability targets, cash flow management & cost optimization.
- Operational Metrics: Production efficiency & capacity utilization, quality performance (defect rate / rework %), on-time delivery (OTD %).
- Market and Business Growth: New market entry and revenue contribution, customer acquisition & retention rates, market share increase in target segments.
- Innovation and R&D: New product launches / technology integrations, % of revenue from new products (past 3 years), patents / IP generated.
- People and Culture: Employee engagement and retention rates, leadership succession pipeline, training & skill development hours per employee.
- Sustainability and Compliance: Compliance with safety and environmental regulations, reduction in carbon footprint / energy consumption, implementation of sustainable manufacturing practices.
