Job Title: Lead Design Director

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced design director who can drive innovative architectural solutions that balance functionality, aesthetics, and efficiency.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and articulating detailed design briefs aligned with client vision, proposing optimal architectural plans, and coordinating plan submissions and approvals.
  • This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, as well as a strong sense of design integrity and ability to translate concepts into executable plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope and objectives.
  2. Prepare and articulate detailed design briefs aligned with client goals.
  3. Propose optimal architectural plans that meet client needs and budget.
  4. Coordinate plan submissions and secure approvals from relevant authorities.
  5. Engage external consultants (primary architects, facility planners, MEP, HVAC) as needed.
  6. Ensure design integrity is upheld throughout project development and execution.
  7. Manage vendor selection, contracting, and relationships.
  8. Oversee design coordination with operating teams to ensure seamless integration of operational needs.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in architecture, preferably in hospitality, commercial, or large-scale developments.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, building codes, and approval processes.
  • Proven ability to lead design development and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants (structural, MEP, HVAC, etc.) and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong sense of design integrity and ability to translate concepts into executable plans.
