Job Title: Purchase Executive – Nutraceuticals

The primary objective of this role is to procure high-quality raw materials, packaging items, and other consumables required for cosmetic product manufacturing. This involves sourcing from approved vendors, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and aligning with production schedules while adhering to regulatory and quality compliance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and source raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, and packaging items for cosmetics, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Purchase Orders: Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production and inventory needs, coordinating with vendors for price negotiations, lead times, and quality compliance.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery time, and cost, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and applicable regulatory guidelines (GMP, FDA, etc.).
  • Inventory Management: Maintain records and documentation for audits and quality checks, tracking and updating optimum inventory levels, and collaborating with the QA/QC department to ensure receipt of materials as per specifications.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Coordinate logistics and follow up for on-time delivery of materials, supporting in vendor development and alternative sourcing strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Procurement Experience: Strong understanding of procurement processes in the cosmetics/pharma industry, with knowledge of raw materials used in cosmetics (e.g., emulsifiers, fragrances, preservatives).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and cosmetic regulatory requirements, with negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Marg), with strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a problem-solving mindset and cost-conscious approach.
