We are seeking a seasoned Scrap Metal Procurement Specialist to lead our metal commodities sourcing efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in identifying and acquiring high-quality scrap metal from industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities.

This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry. The successful candidate will be able to analyze data, identify opportunities, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to maximize profitability.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Scrap Metal Sourcing: Identify and acquire high-quality scrap metal from various sources, including industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities.
  2. Negotiation and Procurement: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry to inform decision-making and strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.
  4. Strong analytical skills and understanding of market dynamics.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
