This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of the People as a Vice President of Technology and Innovation. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving technology strategy, innovation, and excellence across our global organization.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of developing and executing technology strategies that drive business growth and innovation. They will possess in-depth knowledge of current EdTech trends and general technology trends, including cloud computing, AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

  • Drive design, development, and implementation of all UoPeople's technology needs.
  • Establish and drive a technology modernization roadmap, enabling speed of delivery and cost optimizations.
  • Manage a 24/7 technology operation and continuously optimize usage of our infrastructure towards cost optimization.
  • Ensure disaster recovery systems and processes are in place.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on talent development and retention. They will have experience managing complex, large-scale change initiatives and have strong skills in change management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science; MSc degree preferred.
  • 20+ years in senior technology leadership roles.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Education technology.
  • Expertise in agile delivery management preferably through certification (SAFe).
