Job Title: Visual Effects Rendering Specialist

The Visual Effects Rendering Specialist is responsible for overseeing the rendering process across multiple digital content creation (DCC) applications. This role ensures high-quality renders by leveraging compatible render engines, including Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, and Cycles.

About the Role

This is a senior position requiring 8-10 years of experience in visual effects and computer-generated imagery (CGI).

Responsibilities
  • Rendering Workflow Management: Manage rendering workflows to ensure efficient rendering with high quality.
  • Compile issue shots based on render engine settings (Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, Cycles) for performance and user support.
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure renders meet production quality and deadlines.
  • Pipeline & Troubleshooting Support: Create tools and scripts to improve rendering efficiency using Python, MEL, MAXScript, or HScript.
  • Integrate new render engines and plugins into the production pipeline based on industry standards.
  • Maintain and integrate with render farm application manager.
  • Resolve rendering issues such as high read time, crashes, and memory issues.
  • Work with supervisors, lighters, and compositors to deliver high-quality frames.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to artists resolving rendering-related issues.
  • Communicate render time predictions and resource requirements to Production.
  • Quality Assurance & Innovation: Ensure renders meet studio's color space, AOV, and render pass requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest rendering technologies, CPU/GPU solutions, and industry best practices.
  • Suggest workflow improvements to increase productivity and reduce render costs.
