Mainframe testing is a critical function that ensures the accuracy and reliability of mainframe systems.

Job Overview
  • The system tester will conduct thorough analysis of system requirements and functionality, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability in software applications and infrastructure.
  2. Executing automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Rest Assured to streamline testing processes and reduce manual effort.
  3. Identifying and reporting defects and issues to development teams in a clear and concise manner.

Mainframe testers should possess a combination of technical skills and soft skills, including:

  • Strong experience in manual and automation testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Prior experience with mainframe testing tools, languages (JCL, COBOL, SQL), and technologies (APIs, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
