Job Title: Solar Project Design Manager

Overview:

The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers and designers in the creation and implementation of solar projects. Responsibilities include managing the design lifecycle from conceptualization to execution, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, are cost-effective, and adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Oversee the entire design process for solar PV power plants, coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Design Development: Develop and review design plans, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international codes and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to define project requirements, present design solutions and progress updates, and address concerns effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest innovations and technology trends in solar PV design, conduct feasibility studies, and implement best practices to drive project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes, conduct design audits and reviews, and collaborate with quality control teams to resolve design-related issues promptly.

Requirements:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, minimum 10 years' experience in solar PV design and project management, expertise to conceptualize and design HT Evacuation infrastructure for utility-scale solar projects, proficiency in design software and tools, strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience in optimizing designs to meet client requirements and project demands, ability to address technical challenges, strong understanding of electrical drawings and OEM supply documents, ability to communicate with various teams, leadership skills to guide a team of design engineers, coordination skills to manage site, consultants, and execution teams.
