AIOPS Developer

The AIOPS developer role is a highly motivated position within the Reliability Engineering Automation team. This team prides itself in maintaining Visa systems' security and uptime, catering to the business's 24/7 needs. The team utilizes AI to aggregate observational data from monitoring systems, job logs, syslog, and data from ticketing, incident, and event management systems. This yields continuous insights, leading to improvements and fixes.

This Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing effective solutions according to industry standards on best web development practices. As part of the team, you will own key modules, perform code and design AI architectural reviews, suggest best practices, and implement design and development standards.

The role requires a passion for problem-solving, refactoring old codes, learning new technologies like generative AI, and chatops. You will lead implementations on key modules and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop scalable real-time low-latency Artificial Intelligence processing solutions using agile delivery methods.
  2. Lead and guide the team in AI design, POC, code, and implementation of new algorithms to solve complex problems.
  3. Develop AIOPS solutions using available tools and technologies and assist the global team in problem resolution by hands-on participation.
  4. Engage technical workshops with cross-vertical technology partners for cross-vertical integration in software development.
Qualifications
  • Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree.
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology disciplines with strong fundamentals in software engineering.
    • At least 2-5 years of working experience in the IT industry with advanced web development experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in IT operations using data analytics theory and application.
Technical Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in development of applications using AIOPS technologies like generative AI, chatops AI, NLP models, LLM Models, advanced RAG, AI agents, agent orchestration, Model quantization, Langchain, langgraph, image screening, web scraping, python AI tools, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one programming language: Golang, Java, C#, Python, NodeJS, Angular, HTML.
  • Experience with recent Machine Learning algorithms and approaches for supervised and unsupervised machine learning and deep learning.
  • Ability to handle and process multi-terabyte data sets in scale-up and scale-out environments.
  • Full stack development skills from REST service to persistence adopting latest state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Cloud application development skills with some experience developing applications on modern cloud platforms.
