Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our team seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance department. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage incoming payments from customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up with customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Update and maintain accurate customer records, including contact details, billing terms, and payment histories.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify collection trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.
  • Recommend process improvements for billing and collections procedures.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to credit and collections is a plus.
