Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cargo Logistics Manager to oversee the end-to-end planning of Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC) shipments.

  • The ideal candidate will ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders, developing cargo movement strategies in alignment with customer requirements and vessel schedules.
  • This role involves leading the process of rate quotation and negotiation, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.

Vessel & Booking Coordination:

  • Timely allocation of bookings in the EBMS system and with carriers is essential for this role.
  • Collaboration with the planning team is required to secure space, including feeder service requirements when necessary.

Inventory & Equipment Management:

  • The successful candidate will supervise coordination with the inventory and MNR teams for container allocation.
  • Optimizing container inventory planning to meet customer demands and minimize turnaround time is crucial.

Customer Communication:

  • This role involves driving efficient communication with customers regarding container pickup status, required documentation, and compliance with List & VGM cut-offs.
  • Overseeing coordination for ODC permissions with operations and carriers is also a key responsibility.

Operational Oversight & Compliance:

  • Ensuring booking forecasts are aligned with planned vessel schedules is vital.
  • Validating and approving any dimension changes, liaising with pricing teams for revised rate approvals is another important task.

Performance Monitoring & Process Optimization:

  • This role involves driving operational excellence by monitoring key performance metrics across planning, execution, and customer service functions.
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction is also a key responsibility.
