Job Overview

This position involves coordinating and supervising end-to-end logistics operations, including import, export, land transportation, and supply chain management for sensitive semiconductor equipment, utilities, gas, chemicals, materials, and finished goods products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish efficient logistics processes for inbound and outbound semiconductor equipment, utilities, gas, chemicals, materials, and finished goods products transportation from global and domestic locations suppliers and customers.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics activities to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Manage transportation and logistics across multiple warehouses, internal and external sites, ensuring accurate and reliable delivery.
  • Analyze potential risks in the supply chain, such as transportation delays, supply disruptions, or natural disasters.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Indian regulations concerning import and export, storage, and distribution of gases and chemicals.
  • Assess logistics workflows and KPIs to identify cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is advantageous, along with experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Experience: Minimum 12-14 years of proven experience in import/export operations, preferably within manufacturing sectors. Experience specifically in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Extensive knowledge of ODC cargo, gas and chemical logistics, Indian import and export regulations (customs, DGFT, PESO, PCB), international trade laws, Incoterms, and compliance requirements for hazardous materials.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of international logistics, 3PL management, inbound/outbound logistics, multi-modal transportation, freight forwarding.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders globally and negotiating effectively.
  • IT Proficiency: Competence in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and potentially specific logistics/trade compliance software.
