We are seeking an experienced automation professional to help us ensure application reliability, performance, and quality through effective test automation.

About the Role

This freelance position involves designing, developing, and executing automated test cases using the Karate Framework for UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating reusable, modular, and scalable automation frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using the Karate Framework for UI and API testing.
  • Design and implement efficient automation frameworks that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business analysts to understand project requirements and create effective test coverage.
  • Execute and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Provide detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and execution reports to facilitate decision-making.
Requirements
  • Proven hands-on experience with Karate Framework for both API and UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML data formats.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, or related programming languages.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
