Job Summary

This is a challenging role for a qualified accountant to manage financial processes and systems. The successful candidate will have expertise in accounting standards and regulatory compliance, as well as proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Main Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Annual Budgets and Forecasts: Monitor annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and Controllers.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Actionable Insights: Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Liaison: Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • MCA Compliance: Fulfill MCA compliance requirements on a timely basis.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

  • Bank Management: Manage bank payments and receipts with appropriate planning.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage the organization's cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Treasury Function: Optimize working capital and oversee debt servicing and treasury functions.

Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Financial Process Improvement: Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • ERP Implementation: Lead the implementation of ERP systems and reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Internal Controls: Monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies.

Taxation Management:

  • Tax Returns: Oversee the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns.
  • Tax Audits: Manage tax audits and assessments, ensuring minimal financial exposure.
  • Tax Regulations: Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and their impact on the organization.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Delegation: Delegate responsibilities effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Training: Conduct regular training to improve team capabilities and alignment with organizational goals.

Required Skills:

  • Accounting Standards: Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS, IFRS, or GAAP) and regulatory compliance.
  • ERP Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Tally Prime, Odoo) and advanced Excel.
