Job Title: Tax Resolution Expert

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax penalty abatements, compliance issues, and IRS/state tax resolutions.

About the Role:

This role involves handling tax fines, filing abatement requests, negotiating with tax agencies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for reviewing and resolving tax penalties issued by IRS, state, and local tax agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and resolve tax penalties issued by IRS, state, and local tax agencies.
  • Prepare and submit penalty abatement requests (e.g., IRS Form 843).
  • Communicate with US tax authorities to negotiate waivers and resolve disputes.
  • Gather and submit supporting documentation for appeals and compliance cases.
  • Stay updated on US tax laws, penalty relief programs, and filing regulations.
  • Track and follow up on cases to ensure timely resolution.
What We Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in US tax compliance, penalty resolution, or tax processing.
  • Familiarity with IRS and state tax laws, filing procedures, and penalty waivers.
  • Proficiency in tax software (Drake, TurboTax, ProSeries) & Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
