Job Title: Social Science Subject Matter SpecialistAbout the Role

This managerial role involves overseeing a large number of Subject Experts and collaborating with other Subject Administrators to meet project requirements.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality Question Banks are developed for assessments.
  • They will also be tasked with structuring and designing Question Banks, setting quality standards for writing and review in respective domains.
  • An added responsibility is tracking inventory and maintaining optimum levels of item availability in assigned non-STEM domains/subjects.
  • The subject matter specialist will manage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), defining selection criteria, monitoring performance quality, training, and developing SME pools in different domains/subjects.
  • Another key duty is coordinating extensively with SMEs for test development activities.
  • The specialist will design tests in subjects of expertise and coordinate with SMEs to finalize test designs in other domains/subjects.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to fulfill requirements for test items and question sets is another essential function.
  • The job requires supporting Lead Subject Administrators in delivering projects and other organizational requirements as needed.
  • Additionally, conducting post-exam analysis and reporting to higher management is an integral part of the role.

Key Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of school subjects up to 12th level as per NCERT syllabus.
  • A broader knowledge of the country's education system and NCERT/CBSE/Boards.
  • Experience in the education sector related to assessment and evaluation – test designs/blueprints, question development.
  • A good command over English (written and spoken) and Hindi (spoken).

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following skills: Social Work/Social Science/Social Studies.
