Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Data Engineer, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our modern data platform.

This role is perfect for someone with deep technical expertise in ETL pipeline design, data modeling, and data infrastructure who thrives in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Efficient ETL Pipelines: Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Develop Transformation Models: Use dbt to develop transformation models and orchestrate pipelines via Airflow.
  • Optimize Large-Scale Processing Jobs: Tune and optimize large-scale processing jobs in Apache Spark for maximum performance.
  • Tune and Manage Databases: Optimize relational and analytical databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake) for improved query performance.
  • Architect Schemas: Design and maintain schemas using Star Schema, 3NF, and SCD2 methodologies.
  • Lakehouse Architecture: Design and support lakehouse architectures and scalable storage solutions.
  • Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance, validation, and quality control mechanisms.

Requirements:

  • Advanced SQL Proficiency: Strong experience with SQL and ETL/ELT design.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, 3NF, SCD2).
  • Database Optimization: Proven ability to optimize and tune PostgreSQL and Snowflake for performance.
  • Lakehouse Architecture: Familiarity with lakehouse architecture principles and tools.
  • Data Governance: Solid experience in data governance, validation frameworks, and pipeline monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • IaC Tools: Familiarity with IaC tools and DevOps best practices.
  • Regulated Environments: Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments with strict data governance policies.
