Master Data Management and Reporting Specialist

This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining master data within an enterprise resource planning system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ERP systems and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Management:
    • Create, update, and maintain item master data, including product codes, descriptions, categories, and pack sizes.
    • Maintain and update vendor master data, including pricing and other key attributes.
    • Record and regularly update transit days for distribution center–vendor combinations.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by running regular validations and checks.
    • Support resolution of data-related issues in collaboration with sourcing, planning, and purchase teams.
  • MIS & Reporting:
    • Prepare and publish daily operational reports for management and supply chain teams.
    • Generate weekly and monthly reports/scorecards covering key performance indicators (supply chain, vendor performance, inventory, and service levels).
    • Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure timely availability of management information.
    • Automate and simplify reporting formats in Excel and ERP systems for efficiency.
    • Support ad-hoc data and reporting requirements from management.
  • Process Support & Coordination:
    • Maintain proper documentation of changes in item master and pricing.
    • Support internal audits and compliance requirements by providing accurate data.
    • Suggest improvements in data entry and reporting processes to minimize errors and manual work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formatting).
  • Ability to handle large data sets and maintain high accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple teams.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, IT, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Master Data Management / MIS / Reporting in FMCG, Manufacturing, or related industries.
