Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing end-to-end cash application activities for our entities across specified regions.

  • You will follow established policies, procedures, and management guidance to ensure timely and accurate cash application processing.
  • Manage daily cash applications activities to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and work closely with the team, team lead/manager, and relevant offshore and onshore teams to achieve goals and vision.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with customer and stakeholder teams to identify customer requirements and provide solutions, working closely with the collection and billing group for non-applied payments.
  • Prepare end-of-day reports, such as daily collections and bank reconciliation, to facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Perform periodic audits of the general ledger and other financial documents to maintain internal controls and compliance.
  • Address payment issues, such as double payments or discrepancies, and process refunds internally and externally.
  • Research and identify unallocated payments and manage mailboxes to ensure prompt attention to critical matters.
  • Process monthly netting requests, monitor factoring payments, and invoice offsets to optimize cash flow.
  • Conduct month-end closing of current AR periods and opening of new periods to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Engage in collection management processes as necessary to ensure effective cash application outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant courses.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures, and internal controls.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in cash applications or similar roles.
  • Excellent investigative and research skills, with a strong focus on payment history and details.
  • Working knowledge of billing procedures and collections.
  • Comfortable working with targets and managing stress.
  • Able to handle difficult or irate stakeholders and possess problem-solving skills.
  • Very detail-oriented and able to work independently, contributing to broader team objectives.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively amidst multiple deadlines.
