Accounting Manager

As an accounting manager, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. You will be responsible for managing the revenue recognition process, performing detailed accounting research, and effectively leading staff. This position coordinates annual audits and internal controls over financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Manage the month-end close process, including income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities according to IFRS requirements.">
  • Review and approve journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.">
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement trend analyses for management.">
  • Prepare quarterly lender compliance packages.">
  • Ensure technical accounting compliance by monitoring relevant IFRS and US GAAP developments.">
  • Serve as an internal technical accounting expert, performing research and preparing technical accounting memos.">
  • Review new and existing revenue contracts for proper revenue recognition.">
  • Participate in forecasting procedures and annual budget processes.">
  • Support annual audits and quarterly reviews, providing analysis and technical accounting memos.">
  • Provide training sessions and keep business partners updated on accounting developments.">
  • Develop and improve existing policies, procedures, and controls.">
  • Collaborate with the controller and assistant controller on various initiatives.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • BS or BA in Accounting.">
  • CPA/CA certification preferred.">
  • Minimum 7 years of financial and accounting experience, at least 2 years of supervisory experience.">
  • Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience required.">

  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.">
  • Software revenue recognition expertise a plus.">
  • Ability to document and communicate complex accounting issues effectively.">
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.">
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).">
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task efficiently.">
  • Detail-oriented with high ethics and integrity.">
  • Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft D365 Finance experience a plus.">
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with knowledge depth in complex functions/data analysis.">
  • Ability to cultivate a positive team atmosphere to drive success.">
