Our company seeks a seasoned database developer to fill the role of Database Application Specialist.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in database development and support for Java-based applications. This position involves working closely with our business partners to design, implement, and maintain efficient databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test database applications and services as specified by our clients
  • Participate in coding and enhancements, script tuning, and data extraction tasks
  • Provide daily system support and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Run manual processes for exceptional cases
  • Conduct research and testing to inform technology roadmaps and make recommendations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in database development, particularly with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with database design principles and creation of data models
  • Understanding of Oracle database architecture and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Practical experience with database management tools like TOAD and SQL Developer
