Senior Embedded Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Systems Design Engineer to support our avionics and hardware department.

This role involves designing, implementing, and testing digital circuits and systems using microcontrollers and FPGAs.

A key responsibility will be collaborating with engineers from various domains to integrate designs into larger systems.

  • Design and implement microcontroller and FPGA-based digital circuits and systems.
  • Develop and optimize firmware for embedded devices.
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate designs into larger systems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in FPGA design and implementation.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in testing and debugging embedded system designs.

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

About the Job: We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Avionics/Hardware department, you will be instrumental in supporting design and testing activities for all embedded systems for spacecraft and ground station avionics.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing microcontroller and FPGA-based digital circuits and systems, demonstrating expertise in architectures, logic design, and hardware description languages (HDLs) such as VHDL or Verilog.
  • Developing and optimizing firmware for embedded devices, ensuring efficient and reliable configurations and functionalities.
  • Collaborating with hardware and software engineers to integrate designs into larger systems, ensuring seamless interaction with other components like processors, memory, and peripherals.
  • Testing and debugging FPGA designs to meet functionality, performance, and reliability standards, utilizing simulation tools and hardware debugging equipment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in FPGA design, with a proven track record of designing and implementing microcontroller and FPGA-based digital circuits and systems.
  • Expertise in developing and optimizing firmware for embedded devices.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on fast-paced projects.
