About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Specialist to oversee land procurement activities for wind energy projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Development, you will play a crucial role in creating a land pool and pipeline for our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing support for project development activities and collaborating with different departments for land acquisition and related tasks.
  • Identifying suitable developers/aggregators for wind energy projects, with primary focus on key states.
  • Ensuring adherence to statutes and regulations related to land, forest, and other approvals.
  • Assessing risks in land acquisition and recommending mitigation plans.
  • Leading legal due diligence (DD) and documentation with internal/external lawyers to ensure clear marketable title of potential lands before acquisition.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless land acquisition for wind energy projects.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in land acquisition involving revenue/private/forest land exploration, valuation reports, and negotiations.
  • A minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in land procurement/acquisition for wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
