As a Senior Textile Designer, you will be responsible for developing original carpet and rug designs that align with the brand's creative vision and market trends.

You will lead the conceptualization and design of seasonal collections and special projects. This includes translating design briefs into production-ready outputs such as graph making, colorways, and yarn selection.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with field teams and regularly visit villages to guide weavers during sampling and prototyping.

In addition to your design expertise, you will also provide creative direction and hands-on mentoring to junior and assistant designers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of weaving techniques, yarn types, color theory, and graph systems. Proficiency in design tools like Texcelle, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, InDesign or other AI Tools is also required.

A degree or diploma in Textile Design, Carpet Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent is necessary. A minimum of 4 years of experience in carpet/rug/textile design, preferably in the handmade sector, is also required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop original carpet and rug designs
  • Lead the conceptualization and design of seasonal collections and special projects
  • Translate design briefs into production-ready outputs
  • Collaborate with field teams and guide weavers during sampling and prototyping
  • Provide creative direction and hands-on mentoring to junior and assistant designers
  • Ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs for hand-knotting, hand-tufting, and other traditional techniques

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Textile Design, Carpet Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in carpet/rug/textile design (handmade sector preferred)
