Embroidery Design Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced embroidery design professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hand and machine embroidery, as well as expertise in designing unique art pieces using textile materials.

The successful candidate will possess excellent craft techniques, be proficient in design operations management, and have a solid understanding of industry trends. A bachelor's or master's degree in design specializing in textiles or the craft-based sector is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create intricate embroidery designs for various projects
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of textile materials and their applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute art pieces
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in embroidery design, preferably with a focus on artisanal and commission-based projects
  • Strong knowledge of hand and machine embroidery techniques, including stitching, color theory, and fabric manipulation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with designers, artists, and production teams
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in design, fine arts, or a related field, with a specialization in textiles or crafts
  • Familiarity with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
