Job Title: Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to leverage their expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology to drive innovation and progress in the field.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of biology and computational methods, with hands-on experience in analyzing high-dimensional omics data. They will be responsible for generating actionable insights, developing scalable solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into innovative solutions.

This role requires strong expertise across multi-omics data types, including single-cell, proteomics, and metabolomics, as well as familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs). The successful candidate will be able to derive relevant insights from complex biological data using state-of-the-art statistical methods and develop optimized tools, pipelines, and algorithms for analysis and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present compelling scientific presentations and develop scalable solutions using biological problem statements and multi-omics data.
  • Derive relevant insights from multi-omics biological data using state-of-the-art statistical methods.
  • Develop and optimize tools, pipelines, and algorithms for analyzing and visualizing multi-omics biological data.
  • Contribute to the ideation and deployment of knowledge graphs and structured data models.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to translate customer requirements into innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • PhD (with 0-2 years of relevant experience) or Masters (with 3-5 years of relevant experience) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related disciplines.
  • Proven expertise in processing and analyzing omics data.
  • Proficient in a programming language used for data analysis such as Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to big data.

Good-to-have:

  • Experience working with cloud technologies and scalable computing platforms.
  • Previous experience in customer collaboration and successful project delivery.
