Financial Accountant Manager Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Financial Accountant Manager to manage the delivery of accurate and timely Net Asset Values (NAVs).

The role involves reconciling client general ledger data with market data providers, including custody and prime brokers along with fund administrators.

This is a balanced combination of product knowledge and technical proficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing open/closed ended hedge funds with reconciliation and integration of trades for clients.
  • Accounting/booking of corporate actions trades.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly General Accounting Value (GAV)/NAV preparation, including booking of capital activities, market value reconciliation, computation of profit and loss for financial instruments, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, bond coupon accrual reconciliation, confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A chartered accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience in financial management.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Strong comprehension of financial and capital markets products, including equity, bonds, futures, options, and FX forwards.
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Excel and formulas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
