Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Attero. This role will play a crucial part in integrating sustainable practices across our operations and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sustainability initiatives that align with organizational objectives, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of environmental performance.
  • Conduct thorough environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement in resource usage and waste management, fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.
  • Support teams across departments in adopting sustainable practices in daily operations, promoting a collaborative approach to reducing the company's environmental impact.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and carbon emissions, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and supply chain practices, driving continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in sustainability technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of best practices.
  • Support employee training sessions and workshops on sustainability practices and standards, empowering colleagues to contribute to a more sustainable future.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sustainability progress and initiatives for internal and external stakeholders, showcasing the organization's commitment to environmental responsibility.
  • Engage with external partners, such as suppliers and community organizations, to support sustainability collaborations and foster a network of like-minded individuals and organizations.
  • Contribute to developing sustainability metrics and monitoring organizational progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field, with a strong foundation in sustainability principles and environmental management practices.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related domain, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or similar standards, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental audits, lifecycle assessments (LCA), and carbon footprint analysis, enabling the development of effective sustainability strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in data analysis tools a plus, allowing for efficient data collection and reporting.
  • Prior experience in supporting sustainability initiatives or related projects is desirable, demonstrating a passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to fostering responsible practices.
