Attero is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Expert to join our team as an Environmental Solutions Specialist. This role will play a critical part in supporting the integration of sustainable practices across our operations and initiatives.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support us in implementing sustainability strategies, monitoring environmental performance, and promoting awareness within the organization. As an Environmental Solutions Specialist, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities for improvement, ensure compliance with sustainability standards, and contribute to reducing our environmental impact.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability principles and environmental management practices. You will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments and audits, collecting and analyzing data on energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and carbon emissions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sustainability initiatives that align with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • SUPPORT TEAMS ACROSS DEPARTMENTS IN ADOPTING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES IN DAILY OPERATIONS.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and carbon emissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and supply chain practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in sustainability technologies.
  • SUPPORT EMPLOYEE TRAINING SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS ON SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES AND STANDARDS.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sustainability progress and initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with external partners, such as suppliers and community organizations, to support sustainability collaborations.
  • Contribute to developing sustainability metrics and monitoring organizational progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field (Master's preferred but not mandatory).
  • 2-4 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related domain.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or similar standards.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental audits, lifecycle assessments (LCA), and carbon footprint analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Prior experience in supporting sustainability initiatives or related projects is desirable.
