Cloud Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale cloud-based systems.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned engineer to make a meaningful contribution to our organization's growth and success. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing procedures, automation scripts, and infrastructure implementations to support our cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procedures, automation scripts, and infrastructure implementations to support cloud operations
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to cloud operations teams
  • Implement cloud operations goals and deliverables as determined by organizational leadership
  • Ensure smooth operation of cloud products
  • Take ownership of customer implementations, including SLA and SLO
  • Automate, enhance, and maintain critical processes in cloud operations
  • Drive disaster recovery and failover procedures, training, testing, and team readiness
  • Coordinate focus groups across teams on process improvements and technical improvements
  • Support continuous improvements in cloud operations
  • Define, build, and deliver a high-quality cloud platform
  • Represent cloud operations in InfoSec meetings and develop secure procedures

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale cloud-based systems
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), Kubernetes, helm Charts, Terraform, Ansible, Windows Terminal Services, AD, LDAP
  • Experience with cloud technology (AWS, Azure), strong networking skills, and certifications in RHEL, Kubernetes, AWS
  • Strong innovation mindset, analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience effectively communicating project/mission objectives
  • Practical customer service attitude and leadership skills

Desired Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in cloud technology (AWS, Azure) – AWS preferred
