Cloud Architect Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in AWS services to lead our cloud architecture initiatives. The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and cost optimization of cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Implement detailed system monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Enforce security best practices, conduct regular audits, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for seamless application releases.
  • Define SLAs, monitor system performance, and establish an efficient incident response strategy.
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

A thorough knowledge of serverless architectures, event-driven computing, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is beneficial. A background in database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases) is also a plus.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions.
