Actuarial Modeling Lead

As a senior actuary, you will be responsible for leading and delivering quarterly model changes, including assumption updates, new business setup, and model efficiency improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Model Development: Develop and implement actuarial models using Moody's AXIS, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Testing and Validation: Perform independent testing and validation of model changes, including impact quantification and justification.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document and communicate model changes to wider teams, ensuring seamless integration and understanding.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with junior members to ensure quality work products under tight deadlines, while maintaining strong stakeholder/client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, stats, engineering, or computer science (or equivalent quantitative discipline).
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in US life insurance, with at least 4-6 years in life/Annuity actuarial modeling using Moody's AXIS.
  • Certifications: 8-10 actuarial papers (SOA preferred).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of US Life insurance and Variable Annuity products, excellent technical knowledge of US STAT/GAAP regulations, expertise in Actuarial modeling - Moody's AXIS.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, people management skills, and excellent communication skills.
