Job Overview

The role of Research Operations Director focuses on supporting project teams with high-quality research operations to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project leads and teams across all stages of the project, from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and compliant deliverables.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key MR suppliers, incorporating feedback from project teams to optimize research operations.
  • Design and implement proposals for projects involving primary research, considering feasibility, methodology, sample size, timing, and compliance requirements.
  • Source quotes from suitable MR suppliers and complete costing templates in accordance with agreed scope and specifications.
  • Attend and contribute to project setup meetings, identifying and commissioning MR suppliers, and managing project briefing and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee quality control on all recruitment, external moderation, transcribers, and other MR suppliers, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges associated with research delivery and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  • Contribute to research operations-related initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, aligning with business objectives and goals.
  • Ensure timely and compliant adverse event financial reconciliations upon project completion, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and other business teams to ensure seamless research delivery, fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual support.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or advanced degree in life sciences, data sciences, business, or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, which may include pharma consulting, pharma business intelligence, working with drug indication databases, pharma data analytics, etc.
  • People management experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of business principles, practices, and tools used in management consulting.
  • Sound understanding of clients' needs and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of competitors, differentiators, and value proposition.
  • Demonstrable client-centric and quality-oriented mindset and approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to develop and deliver strategic communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver influential presentations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work within teams.
  • Proven abilities to manage team members and effectively coach others.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and effectively manage stakeholder interactions.
