We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team in the capacity of a Proposal Development Specialist.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive proposals that meet the requirements of our clients. This includes planning and preparing proposals on various solutions, working closely with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs, conducting plant walk-down surveys to identify challenges, and coordinating with procurement teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and prepare proposals on Ovation DCS, Ovation SIS, ECMS, DGC-AVR, and C&I Package solutions.
  2. Work closely with Sales and Marketing team to understand and incorporate customer requirements in the proposal.
  3. Conduct plant walk-down surveys to identify the challenges for retrofits.
  4. Coordinate with the procurement teams and, as required, work with vendors for techno-commercial offers for the proposal.
  5. Work on available tools to gain proficiency for using them.
  6. Ensure that the most cost-effective solutions are developed and proposed.
  7. Techno-commercial reviews/meetings with customers for key projects.
  8. Accurate and timely completion of activities like LOA, Master Schedule, smooth handing over to Projects group, etc.
  9. Interact with various vendors and Emerson SCM teams for obtaining the best quotes for all Non-DCS-Non-Emerson items.
  10. Document all records properly in line with Department Quality Procedures.
  11. Support a team concept to share expertise and level of workload.
  12. Develop expertise in a specific functional area and working knowledge of related disciplines to lead to more independent assignments.
  13. Use the online costing tool (EET) for preparation of costing and budgets.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field is essential.
  • 7-10 years of experience in DCS/Power Plant Instrumentation/Proposals is required.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software functions of DCS / SCADA systems is an added advantage.
  • Experience leading projects or managing project-related tasks, interacting with customers (internal and external), and good communication skills are also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with previous work experience in Proposals or Operations/Maintenance of Power Plants would be preferred.
