Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing professional to join our team in Pune, India.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and steering strategic sourcing activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and company policies.

You will work closely with commodity managers, buyers, and procurement managers to support business strategy.

  • Produce yearly and 5-year regional sourcing plans for the MEAP region for Compression products, goods, and services supply chain.
  • Identify clear strategies on key objectives, challenges, opportunities, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, and support sourcing and supplier qualification activity within the framework of company policies and guidelines.
  • Improve content from the MEAP region while meeting or exceeding business goals and striving for customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or business administration with strong affinity and experience in respective material field.
  • Proven ability in procurement, including negotiation strategy, max/min goal, fallback position, role allocation, target costing, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with Indian supplier base for relevant commodities.
  • Able to independently prepare and carry out mid-complex negotiations.
  • Ready for national and international travel activities.
  • Knowledge of contractual law.
  • Presents facts and processes spontaneously, takes part in discussions about daily tasks and issues in an international team.
