Electromechanical Specialist Wanted

Seeking an experienced electromechanical specialist to lead the development of a commercial Scanning Electron Microscope. This opportunity will enable a talented individual to own system integration across chamber design, precision motion, and mechanical builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the mechanical architecture of the instrument, ensuring speed, stability, and serviceability.
  • Develop the assembly and test plan, including fixtures, torque specs, and metrology checks.
  • Qualify and scale suppliers, partnering closely to improve yield and finish quality.
  • Lead system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering precision electromechanical systems - scientific instruments, automation, or similar.
  • Comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing, design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on problem-solver with an eye for ergonomics and field-service.
