Senior Software Architect for Distributed Systems

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Architect to design and build the core distributed systems that provide the reliable and scalable foundation for our mission.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Distributed System Design and Development: Develop and operate the foundational backend services that form the backbone of our platform, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability.
  • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews. You will drive best practices in system design and raise the bar for the entire team.
  • Complex Project Ownership and Delivery: Take ownership of complex technical projects from conception to deployment. We are looking for engineers who are focused on delivering pragmatic, robust solutions.
  • Expertise in Backend Development: Tackle our most challenging technical issues in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and building complex, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design.
  • A strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++).
  • Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure is essential (e.g., Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres).
