Junior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Accountant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing timely reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

  • Maintaining financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Preparing monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and analyses
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Fundamental Tasks:
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and analyses.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
