Senior Technical Lead - R42 Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India.

This is an opportunity for an individual who can take on complex technical challenges, drive innovation, and lead the implementation of new platform components.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in Go, Docker, K8s, Kafka, GenAI, and CI/CD.

  • Implement new, highly scalable platform components.
  • Work with platform and domain teams to develop microservices, prototype next-generation applications, and proof of concepts for new technologies.
  • Drive both high-level and detailed technical designs and lead design reviews and woodshedding.
About the Role:
  • Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software for use in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership teams to drive technical expertise and solution delivery at a platform level.
  • Take a hands-on approach to guide teams of talented engineers in continuing to transform and modernize the core R42 Platform.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of active engineering experience in a complex environment.
  • Experience with design and implementation of distributed applications.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software.
  • Understanding of and experience with core American Express Enterprise Platforms a plus.
  • Recent hand-on experience with modern software engineering concepts (e.g., CI/CD, DevOps, containers, microservices, etc.) and adept at using GenAI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
