Reliability Engineer Position">

Cvent is seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for improving the reliability of our products and services, working closely with product development teams and other engineering groups.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, automation, and business process improvement. They should be able to work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making things better for their peers, has excellent communication skills, and experience working with distributed teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing automated testing and deployment processes
  • Collaborating with product development teams to identify and resolve observability gaps
  • Ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience of Cvent products and processes

Requirements include:

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile)
  • Familiarity with containerization concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Bonus skills include:

  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of network protocols and architecture
  • Understanding of server configuration and management
