Design Engineer - Offshore Wind

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions for the offshore wind industry.

Job Description:

  • Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD software.
  • Prepare report figures and detailed drawings as directed by senior engineers.
  • Perform design changes and improvements in a timely manner according to project demands.
  • Estimate costs and plan marine operation projects.
  • Coordinate with engineers to align on deliverable timelines and schedules.
  • Conduct quality control checks on own work to ensure accuracy.
  • Inform and manage the engineering team about project progress and planning.
  • Participate in scheduled project review sessions and meetings with representatives from other disciplines and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in design projects in the marine/offshore/structural industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, offshore engineering, or naval architecture.
  • Expert level knowledge in CAD software Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and convert 2D drawings to 3D models and vice versa.
  • Highly organized self-starter able to prioritize work to meet changing timelines.
  • Collaborate efficiently with team members.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
