Role Overview

As a Marine Design Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform analytical insights into buildable designs. Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and fabrication teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models and drafting documentation for marine structures using software such as Rhino, Autodesk, or ShipConstructor.
  • Perform hand calculations and cross-check software results to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Collaborate with peers to review and improve design proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marine design engineering, hydrostatics, or offshore/marine structural analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, including DNV-ST-N001, DNV-RP-C205, IMO Codes, Eurocode 3, or class society rules.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for automation and post-processing tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
