About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic IT Project Director to lead our project management team at Ion. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee the execution and completion of information technology solutions projects in the professional services arena.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership of multi-disciplinary professionals in a project structure in the scoping/discovery workshop, design, configuration, testing, and production support of the ION solution for the client's business needs
  • Manage project Profit and Loss, including effective project cost and revenue budgeting, analysis and forecasting
  • Plan, lead, manage, and coordinate ION's project tasks using Microsoft Project Plan, resources, deliverables, issues logs, risks logs, weekly timesheets, project expense reports, monthly invoices, and all other administrative documentation on an ongoing basis
  • Act as principal point of contact for project status, solution quality, scope control, issues, risks, billing, personnel management, and the ION solution
Requirements
  • 5+ years of project management software implementation, consulting, or systems integration experience
  • Prior hands-on experience with structured project management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Project Management Institute PMP certification preferred
About You

You have exceptional client-facing skills and can work onsite at client locations as needed. You possess excellent written and oral communication skills, proven leadership skills with teams of five or more professionals, and 5 years of experience in the Energy, Commodities, Treasury, Banking, or financial services industries.
