Job Title: API Test Engineer

MuleSoft is seeking a skilled and experienced API test engineer to join our team. As an API test engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating MuleSoft APIs and integrations to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design detailed test strategies, plans, and scenarios for MuleSoft APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of MuleSoft APIs.
  • Validate RESTful and SOAP-based APIs, checking response formats, headers, status codes, and business logic.
  • Execute API mocking and simulate downstream system responses.
  • Design and develop automated API test scripts.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in API testing with 3+ years of experience in MuleSoft API testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, ReadyAPI).
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft platform components and architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, API security standards.
