Product Designer Position

We seek a skilled Product Designer to contribute to our team, focusing on New Product Design and Sustenance projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills, with hands-on experience in CAD software (preferably Solid Edge).

  • Create innovative product designs and improvements to existing products.
  • Perform calculations and analysis to ensure design feasibility.
  • Apply engineering principles to drive design decisions.
  • Provide CAD support for New Product Development (NPD) and Sustenance projects.
  • Develop cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implement DFMA practices in product design.
  • Efficiently implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).
  • Contribute to prototype development and testing, evaluating results.
  • Manage costed Bill of Materials (BOM) and apply PLM tools such as Teamcenter.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet customer expectations and deadlines.

You will be working collaboratively with the Electronics Hardware, Firmware, and Sourcing Teams.

Requirements
  • Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering Graduate with good academic record.
  • Minimum work experience of 3 to 6 years after graduation.
  • Good CAD knowledge (Preferred SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge on casting, plastic, or forging part design considerations is beneficial.
  • Knowledge on ASME 14.5 is beneficial.
  • Effective communication skills to convey ideas & thoughts for global clients.
  • Experience in appliance product design is an added advantage.
