Job Summary
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at Molex. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of processes for new products and the continued improvement of processes for mass production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of tool and equipment process engineering to ensure quality, productivity, and output goals are met.
- Develop processes to set up new products and launch new products.
- Design processes, workflows, and PFMEA for products.
- Collaborate with machine and tooling engineers to review machine and jig tool designs.
- Collaborate with machine engineers to conduct trial processes for new machines, jig tools, and set up transfer lines.
- Build detailed requirements and collaborate with outside suppliers to design machines, jigs, and tools for new products.
- Build operation instructions for production lines and machine setting condition documents.
- Perform mass trial runs and prepare machines for mass production, continuing to follow up on production feedback after mass production.
- Apply ECNs to machine designs.
- Study and research new technologies to apply to production machines and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to quality, technical problems due to machine, tool assembly on production lines during the trial and pre-MP phases.
- Troubleshoot to ensure the operation of equipment, machines, and tools, diagnosing and analyzing errors arising during production.
- Act on customer claims related to production processes.
- Continuously improve quality, productivity, and reduce production costs.
- Collaborate with machine engineers, production, and quality teams to improve the capability, ability, and performance of current MP equipment, machines, and tools.
- Provide new product process design feedback to solve chronic issues related to processes.
- SUPPORT suppliers to resolve issues during setup or trial of new processes.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a manufacture company in Stamping Function (experience working with Bruderer and Yamada machines).
Ability to read technical drawings.
Good knowledge of injection molding and/or over molding processes, scientific molding processes.
Ability to use CAD (NX, etc.).
Proficiency in Office SW (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).
Confidentiality, initiative, accountability, carefulness, honesty.
Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
Good communication and analytical skills, interpersonal skills.
Exposure to QMS including ISO/ IATF 16949 & EHS ISO 14000, ISO 45000.
