About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler and Engineer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling principles, with expertise in requirements gathering, creating data mapping documents, writing functional specifications, and queries for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, DataMart, OLTP, and OLAP applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable data capture and transformation processes, suggesting best modeling approaches based on client requirements and target architecture, analyzing and understanding datasets, and guiding teams in creating source-to-target mapping and data dictionaries.

Main Responsibilities

1. Data Modeling Expertise

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data capture and transformation processes.
  • Suggest best modeling approach based on client requirements and target architecture.
  • Analyze and understand datasets and guide teams in creating source-to-target mapping and data dictionaries.

2. Data Governance

  • Define data modeling best practices and ensure implementation across projects.
  • Optimize data models and work with data engineers to define ingestion logic, ingestion frequency, and data consumption patterns.

3. Team Collaboration

  • Closely monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership teams on milestones and impediments.
  • Create effective ETLs/ELTs to move large volumes of data from operational systems to dimensional data models for analytics consumption.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Technical Requirements

We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of experience working with hybrid data environments that leverage distributed and relational database technologies to support analytics services (Oracle, IBM DB2, GCP). A solid understanding of data warehousing principles, architecture, and its implementation in complex environments is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications and industry-recognized training programs are advantageous.
