Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead a team of Senior Engineers and develop innovative data-intensive applications.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend and data engineering. They should have hands-on experience in using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting, as well as production experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality features and finish tasks to a high standard
  • Lead a team of 4-5 Senior Engineers
  • Solve complex situations and data model

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Data Engineering Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting
Cloud Computing
  • 5+ years of proven experience in building cloud native data intensive applications
  • Amazon Web Service experience is a must
Data Warehousing
  • Experience in Data Warehouse design and development per the business nature
  • Familiarity with Databricks and dbt
Technical Skills
  • Architecting and implementing workflow management systems (Airflow)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats
  • Proficiency in IaC tool (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)
